Dr. Vaughn accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1978, and was ordained as a minister at First Baptist Church Palm River, Tampa, Florida, in 1985. He began his ministry as an Associate Pastor/Youth in Vineland, New Jersey. He has also served as Associate Pastor in Tampa, Florida, Pastor in High Point, North Carolina and Pastor in Tampa, Florida.

Andersonville Theological Seminary – B.A. and M.A Biblical Studies
North Carolina College of Theology – Dr Ministry
He is married to Sylvia (Nita). They have four (4) daughters and nine (9) grandchildren, all living in the greater Triad area. Dr. Vaughn serves on the Executive Committee of “Good News Partnership Missions” based in North Carolina. This group sends a mission team to Sao Paulo, Brazil yearly to work with local churches in the area of evangelism. In 2007 Dr. Vaughn accepted the call from Eller Memorial Baptist Church to Shepherd the Congregation.
Doctrinal Statement:
I believe that the Bible is the only infallible, inerrant and inspired Word of God.
That there is one God, eternally existent as Three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
I believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father and in His personal and future return to the earth in power and glory.
I believe that the only way of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus and regeneration through the power of the Holy Spirit.
